TWO YEARS SERVICE COMPLETION OF
PRESIDENT OF SRI LANKA

“60000 Million rupees spent on importing food stuffs. This amount could be reduced by local production. This is the target of the govt.”
Hon Dinesh Gunawardene Minister of Urban development & Sacred Area Development said at the occasions organized by kolonnawa Urban Council to mark two years service completion of H.E. the president Mahinda Rajapakse.
In this occation 56 poor families given attorney to their houses. Kaduwel, Mulleriyawa, daladel culvert cleaning, distribution of wheel chairs, distribution of coconut seedling and compost issued.
Hon Dinsh Gunewaredena emphasized that the money invest on import could be reduced to 30000 million. All have to unite and work not only the villagers but who in urban areas. This year is declared as development year. Through “Arunodaya” project for poor families get better house and also develop the county in progressive manner where as even the damages caused by terrorist activities.

Under the “Arunodaya” housing project for the poor “Kusum” Housing scheme innajurated by Hon. Dinesh Gunawardena Minister if Urban Development & Sacred Area Development at Kesbewa on 24-11-2007. 80 Family’s from Poverty level, issued attorney for their residencies.
Residents in Huts and Cottages considered to provide common facilities. This will be shared without any Political influence. In addition none refuse dable Money Rs. 150,000/- with be issued. And also under this Housing Project 1000 Houses will be built in Western Province end of this year. And 100 Million allocated in the Budget to modernize House all Island.
Minister Dinesh Gunawardene emphasized –that
“According to Mahinda Chindana” people living in cottages to be provided with permanent house to lead a better life. Children of the huts to be promoted to national level through the modernization Project. All have to unite and work hard to achieve this goal.
